
Obtaining Membership
Membership shall be extended to such person who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who hold to the statement of faith provided herein, who hold to the core values of the church, who wish to be under the spiritual oversight an to be accountable to this local church, who have been in attendance or relationship with Life Church for three months or more and who have completed the Membership Classes
Responsibilities of Membership
A church member must see themselves as a vital part of the church family and use their gifts, abilities, and finances to serve this local body. Members should be committed to spiritual growth and willing to align themselves with the doctrine, discipline, and goals of the Life Church as well as tithe (giving 10%) to the local church. Members should also act and speak in such a way as to be a godly witness in the community and to preserve unity within the church body.
Prerogatives of Membership
Members of Life Church qualify to participate in regular membership activities, to receive the benefit of the pastoral ministry of the church, to serve in leadership roles appropriate to their giftedness and to use the church facilities and grounds in accord with current policies. Members who fulfill the responsibilities of membership herein shall be given appropriate respect for their commitment.
Members of Life Church have input in the following areas:
The affirmation of new Elders (a two-week process of feedback will be offered)
The confirmation of the sale or purchase of major assets (a majority vote of members present)
The confirmation of calling of a Senior Pastor (a 2/3 vote of affirmation from members
present)
